How the plans map to ICI mechanical work
The direct answer: the plan depends on how many of the six services you need at once, and across how many regions.
- Growth fits a single-office firm focused on one or two services, for example a prequalification package and project pages, or a relationship program plus PM agreement sales.
- Elite fits a firm running several services together, such as bid visibility, relationships and outreach, or one that also needs a new website.
- Enterprise fits multi-office or multi-province firms that want a dedicated team across sectors and regions, with a website build included.
What drives the cost
Four factors decide the right plan more than company size:
- Number of target regions. Separate GC networks need separate contact maps, proof and outreach.
- Number of sectors. Each sector you pursue needs its own project pages and prequal inserts.
- Language. French or bilingual materials, as in Quebec or New Brunswick, add writing and review time.
- State of your records. If your bid log, project history and consent records are scattered, the first months involve more clean-up.
Third-party costs, such as portal subscriptions, ad platforms, printing or photography, sit outside the plan and are set out separately in writing.
Does it pay? A worked check
Take Growth at $1,999 a month, or about $24,000 a year before tax. Suppose your average awarded mechanical package is $350,000 at a 12% gross margin, so each award contributes about $42,000 in gross profit. One additional award a year covers the plan with room to spare.
On the service side, suppose your average PM agreement is $6,000 a year at 35% gross margin, about $2,100 gross profit each. You'd need around 11 or 12 extra agreements in a year to cover the same cost from service alone, which is realistic for a firm closing 20 or more projects a year and offering an agreement at every handover.
Use your own numbers. The PM book guide shows how to run them.
Sales tax by province
As of October 2026, using the CRA's published rates, the Growth plan at $1,999 a month comes to:
| Where you are | Tax | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|
| BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, territories | 5% GST | $2,098.95 |
| Ontario | 13% HST | $2,258.87 |
| Nova Scotia | 14% HST | $2,278.86 |
| New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI | 15% HST | $2,298.85 |
| Quebec | 5% GST + 9.975% QST | $2,298.35 |
In BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, provincial sales tax is added only where it applies to the service. Each region page gives its own rate.
How to choose
Start with the free consultation. Bring your bid log for the last year and a rough count of your service agreements. We'll recommend a plan in writing, including when the right answer is the smallest one. Questions about contracts and ownership are answered on the FAQ page.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Each plan renews month by month, and a 30-day notice is all it takes to stop. Any change of plan is confirmed in writing.
How is sales tax handled?
All prices are Canadian dollars; GST/HST is added according to your province, or GST and QST in Quebec. For example, Growth at $1,999 comes to $2,258.87 a month with Ontario's 13% HST.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free and separate from the paid plans. It can be by phone, video call or in person.
Do plans include ad spend or printing?
Anything paid to a third party, such as ad platforms, portal subscriptions or printing, is set out separately in your proposal, and accounts stay in your company's name.
Which plan suits a mid-sized mechanical contractor?
Many firms with one office and a service department start on Growth. Firms working several regions or sectors at once usually need Elite. Multi-office firms look at Enterprise.
