You can reach MechanicalMarketing.ca three ways: call or text (604) 632-4959, or email Ali@Sedighi.ca. We're at our desks Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. We usually reply within one business day. A short text is a perfectly good start. Tell us your firm's name and what's on your mind, and we'll take it from there.

Send a short note
Your business name, city and what you need.
Get a reply
Ali or a senior strategist answers, usually the next business day.
Plan the next step
If it fits, you get a clear proposal. If not, honest advice.
How to reach us
The direct answer: whichever way suits your day.
- Call if you'd like to talk it through now.
- Text if you're on site or between meetings. One or two lines is plenty.
- Email if you'd like to attach a bid log, a prequal form you're struggling with, or a link to your current site.
Consultations then happen by video call or in person, whichever you prefer. The first 30-minute consultation is free.
What to include in your first message
You don't need to prepare anything, but these details help us give useful advice faster:
- Your firm's name and the province or provinces you work in
- Your main sectors: commercial, institutional, industrial, multi-unit residential
- Roughly how many tenders you were invited to last year, and from how many GCs or owners
- Whether you run a service department, and roughly how many maintenance agreements you hold
- The problem you most want solved: more invitations, failed prequals, a thin service book, or outreach you're not sure is compliant
A template for a first text, if it helps:
Hi, this is [Your name] from [Firm name] in [City]. We're an ICI mechanical contractor working mainly in [Sectors]. We'd like more invitations from [Type of GC or owner]. Can we set up a call?
Or for email:
Subject: [Firm name], commercial mechanical marketing
We're a [Number]-person mechanical contractor in [City/Region] doing mostly [Sectors]. Last year we were invited to about [Number] tenders from [Number] GCs and won [Number]. We hold about [Number] PM agreements. Our main concern is [Problem]. Attached is [Bid log / prequal form / nothing yet].
If you're not sure you're ready
Some firms hold off because their records feel too messy to share. That's normal. If you don't have a bid log, tell us roughly how many tenders you priced last year and who sent most of them. If your prequal folder is scattered, send whatever you used last time. Starting from rough numbers is fine; organising them is part of what we do.
What happens next
- We reply, usually within one business day, to arrange a time.
- We talk for about 30 minutes, by video call or in person. We'll ask about your bid history, sectors, service book and the people who send you work.
- You get a written summary of where we see the biggest gap and which services address it, with the plan that fits and its cost from the pricing page.
- You decide. There's no obligation, and if the honest answer is that marketing isn't your bottleneck, we'll tell you.
Where we meet
Our head office is in Vancouver, and we work with mechanical firms in every province and territory. A first meeting can be in person or on a video call, whichever is more practical for you, and follow-ups often happen by phone, text or email between sessions.
A note on what we are
MechanicalMarketing.ca is a Canadian marketing and business consulting service, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, run from Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We are not a contractor, and we don't install, repair or service any equipment. If you're looking for a mechanical contractor for your own building, we're not the right call, though we're happy to explain how to evaluate one.
We only send marketing messages to people who have contacted us first or otherwise agreed to hear from us. For more on our approach to consent in outreach, see CASL-compliant outreach. Common questions about contracts and ownership are on the FAQ page.
Frequently asked questions
What are your hours?
Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. We usually reply within one business day.
Can we really just text?
Yes. Texts to (604) 632-4959 reach us, and a line or two is enough to get things going. We'll take it from there.
Do you meet in person?
Yes. A first meeting can be in person or over video, and phone, text and email all work in between.
What should we prepare for the first conversation?
Your bid log for the last 12 months if you have one, a rough count of your PM agreements, and the sectors and regions you want more of. If you don't have those, come anyway; building them is part of the work.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free, with no obligation.
