MechanicalMarketing.ca exists because commercial mechanical contractors kept getting marketing advice written for homeowners. Pay-per-click campaigns and review drives have their place, but they don't put a firm on a GC's bid list, get it through a hospital owner's prequalification, or grow a book of maintenance agreements. We built a service around the parts of ICI work that are actually won and lost before pricing.

Who we are

The short answer: a Canadian B2B marketing and business consulting service for commercial, institutional and industrial mechanical contractors.

We're part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and we serve firms in every province and territory. Sedighi.ca, Ali Sedighi's consulting company for growth, marketing and technology, also runs HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the group's Canadian consulting firm for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, and Ali is its Founder and Managing Partner.

We are not a contractor. We don't install, service or design anything, we don't price your work, and we don't give engineering, legal, safety-programme or procurement advice.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management and has more than 17 years of marketing experience, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

His other ventures include Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai, and has built more than 150 live HVAC websites. That portfolio includes romacommercial.ca, a commercial HVAC services site, alongside residential brands such as CanroHeat.ca and HeatLand.

Ali's HVAC background is the reason this service exists. Mechanical contractors share trade vocabulary, equipment and seasons with HVAC firms, but their buyers and sales cycles are different, and that's where the method has to change.

How we work

We start with your records, not a template. The first request is usually your bid log: who invited you, what sector, what result, and who won. From that we can usually see whether the bottleneck is invitations, prequalification, hit rate or recurring revenue.

Then:

  1. A written plan that names the gap, the services that address it, the order of work and the cost.
  2. Work your team can check. Every project page, prequal answer and safety statement is reviewed by your people before it's used, because they're attesting to it.
  3. Monthly reporting on business measures: invitations, prequal pass rate, agreements signed and renewed, replies from outreach. Not impressions.
  4. No long-term contract. Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice, as described on the pricing page.

We meet by video call or in person, and you can reach us by phone, text or email whenever it suits you.

Why commercial mechanical, specifically

Commercial mechanical contractors sit in an awkward spot for marketers. They're too technical for general small-business agencies, and too B2B for the residential HVAC playbook. Their sales cycle runs through GCs, consultants and owners, often over years, and their best customers may never search for them at all.

That's why our first questions are about bid logs, prequal results and renewal dates rather than keywords. The marketing follows from those records.

What we won't do

  • Promise awards, invitations or rankings
  • Invent projects, scopes, safety figures or references
  • Build outreach on purchased lists without traceable consent
  • Present results from our HVAC work as if they were ICI mechanical tender results

The results page shows the HVAC client work behind our method and what transfers. The services overview explains what we do, and the contact page explains how to start.

The wider group

Where a mechanical firm's owner is thinking about succession or a sale, BizSell.ca, the group's business-sale and exit brand alongside Sedighi.ca, handles that side. A strong service-agreement book and documented GC relationships tend to make that conversation easier, which is one more reason to build them now.
